Now continue straight on following
signs for "Firenze". After approximately 2 1/2 km
turn right at the sign for "Bagno a Ripoli" and
drive down this slight incline. At the bottom of the hill
turn right and continue straight on along this road in the
direction signposted "Pontassieve". Drive over two
sets of traffic lights and where the road forks, take the
left fork in the direction signposted "Candeli-Pontassieve".
At the next set of traffic lights continue straight on and
follow this road through the villages of Candeli and Vallina.
When you arrive in Vallina,
pass through three sets of traffic lights and continue straight
ahead (the road runs by the side of the river) following signs
for "Pontassieve" and "Rosano". After
approximately 7 km the road forks. Take the right hand fork
following signs to "Rosano" (do not cross over
the bridge) and continue along this country lane for approximately
700 metres to the village of Rosano where the road curves
to the left.
Go straight on (again, not
crossing the bridge) now following signs for "Volognano"
and "Torri". After approximately 700 metres at the
fork in the road, bear left and continue up the winding road.
After approximately 3km you will pass the Castle of Volognano.
Continue past the castle for a further 2km to the village
of Torri.
Drive through the village and
look for a bar/tobacconists (marked by a sign with the letter
T on a blue background) on your right. From here take the
second turning on your right (approximately 1 km from the
bar). Turn up this untarmacced road (there is no sign) and
follow the driveway through the vineyards towards the house.
Bear left just: before your reach the apartments and park
by the side. The caretaker will accompany you to your apartment.
